Examples | CONSTANCE PREMNATH DASS (1886-1970) / The Alumnae Association of Isabella Thoburn College, Lucknow, India, takes this opportunity to honour Mrs. Constance Premnath Dass who was the first Indian President of their alma mater. / Mrs. Dass was President of Isabella Thoburn College from 1939 to 1944. She was born in the same year, 1886 that Miss Thoburn opened the first college class. A Phi Beta Kappa from Goucher, Mrs. Dass earned a Master's degree from Allahabad University and a second one from Columbia University. Two honorary degrees were awarded to her - an Ll.D from Goucher and a Ph.D from Boston University.
