Wellness Guide for Mental Health and Healing: Self-Care

Prayer and Meditation Spaces

University of Louisville Libraries are committed to and supportive of student, staff, and faculty wellness. In response to requests for a dedicated prayer and meditation space, University Libraries have created a list of library spaces available to students, faculty, and staff for this purpose. These spaces are available for prayer and meditation and are open to those of all faiths or no particular faith.  We believe that prayer is a human right and a protected right.

Prayer mats are also available for your use. In Ekstrom Library, prayer mats can be checked out from the West Desk with your Cardinal Card. Mats are available for in-library use and can be checked out for four hours at a time. A prayer mat is also provided in the Art Library conference room.

We also encourage you to visit the Dreishpoon Reflection Room at the Kornhauser Health Sciences Library.
