Susan and William Yarmuth Jewish Studies Reading Room Description
The Susan and William Yarmuth Jewish Studies Reading Room, established in 2022, was developed as a silent study and collections space. It is also used for scholarly presentations related to the collection, with room for approximately fifty people. It contains a variety of texts on local and international Jewish theology, thought, history, and culture, alongside the Rabbi Robert and Deborah Slosberg Collection of rabbinical literature. The Jewish Studies Reading Room serves the teaching and research needs of faculty and students, and supports UofL’s Jewish Studies minor offered through the Department of Comparative Humanities.
