Skim through the article and respond to the following questions:

  1. What can be said about the authority of the news article? Look up information about the news site. 

  2. Does the article seek to persuade or is it neutral? How does this influence your evaluation of the article?

  3. How could you go about verifying/corroborating the statistics reported? Who is the producer of the survey and its results?
