Questions to Address in Evaluating your Resource

Read the abstract of your article and then open the pdf of the article and respond to the following questions:

  1. Skim through the entirety of the article. Write down some of the characteristics of the formatting of the article (e.g. How are the authors' names presented? How is the content organized?). How does this influence your evaluation of the article? Consider credibility and authority in your response.

  2. Search the title of this article using Google Scholar. How many people cited this article? What is the importance of this and how can it benefit your own research?

  3. What other information might you need? Consider what isn't addressed by this source.
