Where did you complete your undergraduate degree, and what was your major?

University of Louisville, Marketing BSBA with minors in communications and entrepreneurship

What led you to law school, and what do you plan to do with your law degree?

I decided being a business woman wouldn’t fulfill the need I have to give back to my community, so I pursued law school in order to better the lives of children and those suffering poverty, specifically. I haven’t decided which area of law to practice, but I see the value in both state and public defense work.

Do you have any words of encouragement for new students?

You made it here for a reason, and the vast majority of those who have failed fail because of their lack of willingness to endure the stress and the apply themselves to hard work. Not their abilities or capacity to learn.

What do you enjoy about working in the law library?

The people and the value they place on academia. It’s very enjoyable and a great environment to work when also seeking my graduate degree.

If you could have dinner with anyone dead or alive, who would that be?

Ralph Waldo Emerson. His essay, Nature, is eye opening and I would love to hear more about the life he lived.

Do you have any pets?

I have two cats: Jury and Vince. They’re adorably affectionate and spoiled rotten.

What is your favorite book?

It’s less of a book and more of a short story. Anthem by Ayn Rand.

What is your favorite quote?

Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire.
