The Law Library has a range of materials and resources to support law students taking summer courses, completing summer work placements, or for recent graduates studying for the bar exam. We continue to be open throughout the summer although our hours vary, so check our current operating hours on our website before visiting. Librarians are available to offer reference and research support both in the library, or over the phone and through email. Find contact information on the intranet.
Students taking courses online this summer may want to review our guide to Online Law School Classes. It collects tips for time management, good study habits, and useful resources to succeed in an online classroom.
Students who are working, completing externships, or in internships this summer may find the Lexis Summer Associate and Prepare to Practice resources useful. Additional certifications for those who want to refresh their legal research skills are available from many database vendors, and demonstrate to employers that you have proficiency using these tools. Find out more about legal research certifications in our guide to Legal Skills & Study.
Any students using their Westlaw account over the summer break should remember that access to this database is exclusively for non-commercial research, and may NOT be used in situations where you are billing a client. If you have questions about when you may use your academic Westlaw account, please contact Thomson Reuters Academic Account Manger Sue Moore.
Several bar review books are available electronically through the Aspen Learning Library including:
Graduates studying for the bar exam may also want to visit the CALI library of lessons to review core subjects.
