Searching Exercise
- Using one of your research questions, write down at least 3-5 keywords to search – think of the earlier exercise to help you brainstorm keywords (e.g. related concepts; solutions to the issue; related questions).
- Use your keywords to search in Criminal Justice Abstracts to locate a scholarly article that is relevant and respond to the following questions:
- Why did you select this source? In other words, how is it relevant to your research question?
- How does the abstract speak to the importance and feasibility of your research question? This may not be immediately clear from the abstract, but think broadly.
