ASC Visitor Policies

The Archives and Special Collections include materials that are unique, rare, and/or fragile. Because of this extra measures are taken to protect them.

• Materials cannot be checked out of the archives.
• Materials may be used only in our research rooms.
• To view our materials, you must:
  1. Register and request materials via our registration system.
  2. On the day of your visit, you must presentation a photo identification.

The information from the registration form will help us to keep statistics on the usage of our archival material, and will help us to improve service in the future.

Our registration system helps us have your materials ready for you when you visit.

You only need to complete the registration piece the first time you use the system. After that, you can simply login and let us know what items you need and what day you'll arrive. 

Note that you will not receive a confirmation email from this system. Don’t worry: if something goes awry you can correct it when you arrive onsite.
