Lunar New Year

Lunar New Year (also known as Chinese New Year or Spring Festival) is one of the most important celebrations of the year among East and Southeast Asian cultures. It usually spans multiple days at some point at the end of January and middle of February, following the lunar calendar. For many Asian Americans, Lunar New Year is one of the most important celebrations because it offers a unique connection to their cultural roots. To celebrate, we collected a selection of works that showcase Asian culture. For more suggested reads, please visit our AAPI Heritage Month virtual book display.
