EDTP 245: Children's Literature: Home

A guide to library and university resources relevant this course

Course Materials

Overview

As outlined in your syllabus and course description, EDTP 245: Children's Literature is designed to introduce you to "a body of children's literature with an emphasis on developing an aesthetic and critical response to literature, experiencing a breadth of genres, and constructing creative ways to use literature with children."

This guide is intended to provide you with a variety of available resources that assist in meeting those aims and completing course assignments. An explanation of the tabs within this guide is as follows:

  • Digital & Multimedia Resources tab - provides resources that may aide you in the completion of the Digital Memoir and/or Small Group Genre Presentation assignments
  • Author & Literature Resources tab - recommends databases that may be useful for the Author Study and Hallmark Assessment Task as well as includes research and citation management resources.
  • UofL's Multicultural Children's Collection tab - describes the collection, available in Ekstrom Library, and explains how to find items within it.
  • Additional Children's Literature Resources - includes websites, journals, children's book awards, and more
