The University of Louisville Libraries is pleased to present the Dr. Martin Luther King Day Timeline exhibit. This exhibit will encompass all the individual libraries celebrating the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
Back in the 1990's University Libraries had a 20 panel flat wall exhibit of the Civil Rights Movement in America. It hung in Ekstrom Library for many years. The panels highlighted the path of the Civil Rights Movement through the actions of the brave American citizens who fought discrimination, hatred, and violence in the United States from 1954-1968. We are using those panels and their images as our inspiration to present this exhibit. Each library, Anderson Music Library, Brandeis Law Library, Bridwell Art Library, Ekstrom Library, and the Kornhauser Health Science Library, will display the historical panels and have a corresponding exhibit of library materials honoring the Civil Rights Movement.
