How to Get Assistance

Office of Libraries Technology (OLT) Helpdesk is responsible for technical issues related to the library systems such as the Catalog and off-campus access to library resources, and computers in Art, Archives and Special Collections, Ekstrom, and Music Libraries.

Ways to Contact Us

Before Submitting a Ticket

We are sorry that you are experiencing some technical difficulties. Before you submit a ticket, we would appreciate that if you could help us collect as much information as possible.

The following list includes the common questions or information that we would need for troubleshooting:

  • When was the last time that your computer, login, or connection was working?
  • Did you make any change to your computer or something was recently changed to the system you tried to access?
  • What is the error message? If it is via a web browser, what is the web address (URL) of the page at which you encountered the problem (a screenshot of the page including the URL will be helpful)?
  • Have you cleared the browser’s cache and tried again?
  • Have you tried the same attempt on a different browser, or PC?
  • Have you tried to restart your computer? Did that help?

Sometimes, doing these may resolve your issue before contacting us.
