General Historic Resources

The Law Library has English translations of Old French and Latin treatises and documents in series produced by the Selden Society and London Record Society.



Over time primary legislation has changed names from Statutes at Large, through Public General Statutes, to Public General Acts.

Prior to 1963 Acts were issued by regnal year, that is the year of the sovereign's reign in which they were passed.
