Human Rights

Several regional organizations are concerned with monitoring, legislating, or hearing cases related to international human rights. Several human rights titles are shelved with treatises and periodicals on the basement and 2nd floors.

African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights

The African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights established both the African Commission and the African Court on Human and People's Rights.

Council of Europe

The Council of Europe is concerned with human rights, democracy and rule of law. It is composed of 47 member states across Europe.

Organization of American States

The OAS focuses on democracy, human rights, security, and development. It has 35 member states across the Americas.
