Welcome

In celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we have compiled a collection of books, films, and resources for exploring the Civil Rights Movement and current social justice issues, including racial justice, environmental justice, immigrants' rights, women's rights, LGBTQ rights, and more. The intent of this virtual display is to educate and inspire. In exploring these works, we hope you will find information and ideas that contribute to future discussions and actions committed to promoting positive social change.

"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere."

- Letter from a Birmingham Jail, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

"Do not get lost in a sea of despair. Be hopeful, be optimistic. Our struggle is not the struggle of a day, a week, a month, or a year, it is the struggle of a lifetime. Never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble."

– Congressman John Lewis in a tweet from June 2018
