The following resources can help you find relevant professional organizations in your area of interest.

Occupational Outlook Handbook
This is a reliable, regularly updated government resource that profiles various jobs and professions. Search for your career, then see the "More Info" tab to find links to professional organizations. Professional organizations are a great place to learn about issues in the field. Look for words like Advocacy, Issues, or News on the organization's page.
Google
Try searching for keywords related to your field, coupled with words such as "organization", "society", or "trade publications". Be sure to assess the credibility of any websites you find. Ask your professor or a librarian if you have questions.
