Evaluation of "Fake News"

For each news item, answer the following questions.

  1. Why might someone be convinced by the news item? What might make it believable?
  2. How would you go about evaluating the claims being made in the news item? What questions would you ask? What information or evidence would you look for?

Overall Question: What might motivate someone to share one of these news items online? What ethical problems or considerations does "fake news" present?
