LGBTQ+ Pride Month: Home

Happy LGBTQ+ Pride Month

Welcome!

June is LGBTQ+ Pride Month, a celebration of the valuable contributions of American Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and all other gender identities and sexual orientations (+). Since the first Pride March in New York City on June 28, 1970, on the one-year anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising, LBBTQ+ individuals and activist organizations have worked arduously to end discrimination in the social, political, and cultural life of the U.S.

To honor and celebrate this community, we have gathered a collection of recommended books, films, and resources for learning more about the immense struggles and perseverance of LGBTQ+ individuals in their fight to end hate and create a more equitable and inclusive society.
