REDCap is a server software for building and managing online surveys and databases. It is designed to support online and offline data capture for research studies and operations. With REDCap you can design and distribute surveys, de-identify participant information, and export data to other formats and software for analysis and eventual preservation. REDCap has a customizable workflow that lets you decide who has access to what and how much access and control they have. Its intuitive use, helpful instructional videos, and easy-to-follow layout make collecting data much easier on you and your team. REDCap is actively developed by Vanderbilt University and receives regular updates and security fixes.
Because research projects differ vastly within and across disciplines, there is no "one size fits all" support checklist that the library is able to offer. However, there are certain aspects of the research process and using REDCap that we are more than happy to help with:
The Library will also facilitate any consultations with ITS and Research Computing on any REDCap application performance issues.
At the library, we are happy to help where we can, but there are some areas where we just cannot offer assistance:
Though we are not able to offer direct support in these areas, if you need help, don't hesitate to reach out and we will try our best to direct you to helpful resources.
