What is "Find Full Text"?

The "Find Full Text" feature searches the databases subscribed to by University Libraries to find and attach PDFs to the references that are currently in your EndNote library. The feature allows you to save time from manually attaching each article to your references.

However, if EndNote does not automatically find and attach articles to your references, it does not necessarily mean that University Libraries does not have access to those articles. In those cases, you may have to manually attach those articles to your references.

Setting Up "Find Full Text"

To use the "Find Full Text" feature in EndNote you need to do the following:

  1. 1. In your EndNote library go to Edit > Preferences > Find Full Text. (On Mac it's EndNote > References > Find Full Text).
  2. Check the OpenURL box.
  3. In the Open URL box enter: https://uofl.on.worldcat.org/atoztitles/link
  4. If you plan to use the Find Full Text feature from off campus, enter the following URL in the “Authenticate with” box: https://login.echo.louisville.edu/login
