For accessibility purposes text and background need to have a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text. For that reason some of the colors below should not be used behind text. If the word text appears in the block, you can use that color behind text. These colors have been tested with black or white fonts depending on the contrast; they may fail the accessibility if used with other colors.
