The work was born within a broader research on color that Maurizio Nannucci began around 1970 and whose objective was the study of the relationship between light and color and its uses and meanings. Made a study on samples of industrially produced colors that pointed out approximate and random results on the possibility of identifying a basic chromatic code, Nannucci sought more convincing answers in the natural field through examples of color in the pure state, being the nature origin and reference of every chromatic fact.
