One-of-a-kind. "An experiment in using wooden slats and cord to form a flexible binding for rigid pages, this book has 5 wooden pages, imaged with ink and colored pencil drawings with metal leaf. Each page has a thin wooden slat, as wide as the pages are thick, screwed onto the spine with three steel screws. The slats are then lashed together, one to the next, in a way inspired by bamboo mats.
