Bridwell Art Library will be closed due to the Schneider Hall HVAC replacement from May 3-August 21. Art Library employees will be working in Ekstrom Library, but the collections will be unavailable for the duration of the project.

Access Materials
Since the Art Library will be closed and the collections unavailable, you can request any items owned by the Art Library through Interlibrary Loan.
Renew Materials
You can renew books through your library account. If unable to renew, contact artlib@louisville.edu for assistance.
Return Materials
You can return library books to the Ekstrom Library circulation desk or any Ekstrom Library book drops.
Bridwell Art Library has a number of online resources that are available off-campus.

UofL has a subscription to A&AePortal ( Art & Architecture e-Portal) which provides access to important art and art history scholarly books from some of the world's finest publishers and museums such as Art Institute of Chicago, Princeton, and Yale University Press

Student Success: Use the student guide to learn about art research and discover resources related to art history, studio art, and design.
Research Consultations: Students can schedule online research appointments. Research consultations are available virtually through Microsoft Teams. The Art Librarian will send a link to the online meeting before the appointment.
Research Guides: Browse the list of research guides to find information about library resources curated especially for art courses and topics.
Research DIY: Super-fast tutorials to get you on the right track with research.

Printing & Copying
Ekstrom Library has several machines for printing, scanning, and copying. Only 8.5x11 size paper is available.
Scanning
For high resolution scanning, the Art Library's flatbed scanner has a screen size up to 17”x12” and is available for use by appointment during summer 2024. There is no cost for scanning to email or to a thumb drive when using the flatbed scanner.
