ENGL 102 Litzenberg: Activity 2: EBSCO Academic

Accessing EBSCO Academic

Step 1: Go to library.louisville.edu and click on Subject Guides under Quick Tools.

Step 2: Choose the first guide in the upper left corner, titled "Any Topic"

Step 3: Under Recommended Databases, select EBSCO Academic Search Complete.

Step 4: Search for your topic/issue (for example: university and web usability)

Questions

Use EBSCO Academic to search for articles on your topic and answer the questions below:

1. What types of sources related to your field did you find in EBSCO? (Hint: Look on the left side of the screen under Source Types)

2. Identify at least one professional source (trade publication) for your topic. How do you know this is a professional source?
