Building Book
This is an online version of a sourcebook used in the University Archives to document the history of buildings and other structures on all three of the University of Louisville campuses (Belknap, Health Sciences, and Shelby). A few buildings or structures located elsewhere than the campuses are also included.
Most of the information was compiled circa 1985 and is not complete.
The book contains data sheets with information about current and past university structures, including current and former uses and names, dates of construction, dedication, and in some cases, demolition. Information is not available for all fields for all structures. The sheets will be updated as more information is acquired. Photographs from the buildings selected for online campus tours have been added to these sheets. The book is in draft form; please notify the University Archives concerning any inaccuracies.
Choose the first letter of the building or structure's name. Structures named for persons are alphabetized by the honorees' last names.
