Over 1,800 taped recollections of university personnel and students, community leaders, members of ethnic communities, workers, and business executives, dating from 1968 to the present.
Access:
The Oral History Center has a small and growing number of interviews (audio and transcripts) available online. The first group to be made available are from a series of interviews conducted in the 1970s with members of Louisville's African American community.
The Oral History Center also has an alphabetical list of most of its holdings available online, and there are online lists available for two interview series: the Main Street Association interviews and the Louisville and Nashville Railroad interviews
A listening center, finding aids, and some transcripts are available at University Archives and Records Center.
Some of our transcripts are also available in digital form.
