Patron Information

 

This service is only available to University of Louisville users.

Your Library Account                                                                                                                                             Displays information about your library record, including your local mailing address, titles you have checked out, any fines and fees you may have incurred, any titles you have recalled and the lending library.   

To access this information you must log in and enter a password at the Patron Login screen (see Patron Login: Help).

Saved Searches                                                                                                                                                       Shows which searches are saved to your account.

Personal Information
Contains your name and local mailing address. If this information is incorrect and needs to be updated, contact any U of L Libraries Circulation desk.

Any e-mail address or temporary mailing address you have supplied to the Library will not display.

Patron Blocks                                                                                                                                                            Will display if your account is blocked due to overdue items or fines and fees.

Charged Items
If you have any items checked out, a table displays showing the Due Date, Title, and Status of each item, including if an item has been recalled from you and the new recalled due date.

Request Information                                                                                                                                                   If you have requested that an item be held or recalled, it will be reflected here.

Fines and Fees
Contains any outstanding charges you have acquired, with the total amount due listed at the top. Also included is the date the charge was assessed or partially paid, a title (if applicable), the type of charge or payment (Fee/Posting Type), payments made (Posting), and the balance due.

Tips:
When renewing items keep in mind that items can not be renewed online the day that they are due.  You must call the circulation desk that charged the item for that service (e.g., if an item is due on the 9th it would need to be renewed online on or before the 8th).

Items are listed in random order, not by due date or by title, so if you have a large number of books, you may need to examine your list carefully to determine which items need to be renewed. Because of renewal limits, don't renew items due far in the future, or you may reach the renewal limit before you are through using the material.

If your patron record is blocked, you will not see a column on the left with a box to check if you want that item to be renewed, nor will you see a "renew items" button. You will need to contact the library to find out why you are blocked.

Please return items that could not be renewed to the library as soon as possible.
