Marriott Louisville Downtown is the official site of the 2006 annual meeting. It is a beautiful, state-of-the-art hotel and convention facility, convenient to everything in downtown Louisville. The hotel is within walking distance of several notable attractions, including the recently opened 4th Street Live!,a collection of establishments catering to the best in eating and entertainment.
For your enhanced sleeping comfort, each guest room at the Marriott has been designated a "Room that Works" with an oversized work desk, an ergonomic chair, two-line phones with modem lines, voice mail, iron and ironing board, coffeemaker, AM/FM clock radio, and high-speed Internet access (extra fee). For you enhanced sleeping comfort the bed features down-filled duvets. An indoor pool, whirlpool, and a health club are available.
A block of rooms is reserved for us at a special conference rate of $132 per night plus 13.95% state and local taxes. The regular rate for these rooms is $199! The hotel is giving us a significant savings. Please remember that our conference meeting rooms will be free to us as long as we meet our room commitment to the hotel, avoid penalties and keep meeting registration prices as low as we can make them. Airport Information
Standiford Field (SDF) is Louisville’s International Airport. American, Continental, Delta, Midwest, Northwest, Southwest, United and US Airways all serve Louisville. There is no rail service. The hotel does not provide shuttle service. Cabs are available at the traffic island to the left of the taxi stand. Ask at the taxi stand about Share-a-Ride. Cab fare from the airport to the hotel is $17.
