be issued, but existing accounts will be retained.
The
new Personal Account allows all Ovid users to create and
maintain Saved Searches and AutoAlerts in a secure and private
workspace. You will be able to create your own Account Name and
Password during your first Personal Account session. Thereafter,
personal account information can be modified from within Ovid

button on the Ovid main search page, then choose Create
a new Personal Account.
The Ovid Personal Account will give every Ovid user the following
features:
- Save your
searches permanently or temporarily (7 days),
- Create
AutoAlerts - These are saved searches that are run whenever
the database is updated (generally, weekly), with the results
e-mailed to you.

One feature
of the old Individual Account system not available at this time
is the recovery from the 15 minute inactivity time-out. This feature
is under development by Ovid and will hopefully be available in
the near future. Because of the automatic inactivity time-out,
you are urged to save your searches using your Personal Account
to enable you to recover your work should you be timed out.
