Thomas Merton
Thomas Merton was a monk at the Cistercian (or Trappist) Abbey of Gethsemani near Bardstown, Kentucky. Books include best-selling autobiography, The Seven Storey Mountain, No Man is an Island The Sign of Jonas, New Seeds of Contemplation. Merton died in December 1968.
