Bingham Poetry RoomThe Robert Worth Bingham Poetry Room houses more than 6000 volumes of poetry. The emphasis of this collection is poetry of North America and of the United Kingdom (LC classes PS and PR, respectively) due to space constraints. The collection is representative, not complete, and other poetry in these classes and in other languages may be found in the general collection.

These books are identified in Minerva with the location "Bingham poetry room (1st floor)". The Bingham endowment has also paid for readings of poetry on audio cassette. These cassettes are available in Media & Current Periodicals on the 2nd floor. U of L's Creative Writing Program frequently schedules the Bingham Poetry Room as a site for its poetry readings. Scheduling for such events is arranged through Library Administration Office in Rm. 203.
