Special Services
Where: Ekstrom Library, 1st floor (in the Reference Dept)
The Special Services Office exists to help users with disabilities take advantage of library resources and services. This service extends to all users of the library, including non UofL students and those who have only a temporary problem which makes library access difficult. The staff will work with these users to help them access library materials, retrieve books and periodicals, make photocopies, and download or scan materials. The Libraries also provide adaptive technology.
To request assistance or reserve any of the adaptive equipment, please contact Mildred Franks at 852-8740 or the Ekstrom Reference Desk, 852-6747.
The University Libraries are committed to service and accessibility and will work with users on an individual basis in any of the libraries as-needed. Services are regularly available Monday through Friday but arrangements can be made for evenings and weekends. Appointments can be made by calling Mildred Franks at 852-8740.
