This research guide is designed to help students understand research methods and sources related to curatorial practices. This guide is designed in three parts:
- The WorldCat Discovery tab allows you to search the UofL catalog. This page also gives you search tips for using Library of Congress Subject Headings (LOC SH). Two dropdown tabs below this main tab show you tutorials for reading item records in WorldCat Local, and a summary of how to read a call number.
- The next main tab reviews the usefulness of periodical literature, and provides suggested databases for researching exhibitions.
- The Artist's Websites tab includes tips for searching for information about individual artists.
This guide also includes two additional tabs, one with a map of the Bridwell Art Library at UofL, and another tab with information about contacting the library for further assistance.
