Reproductions of Art in Books
If you need to find an illustration of a specific work of art, there are
a number of print indexes to consult. They all are arranged essentially
the same way: under the artist's name is an alphabetical list of
works. Under the name of each work is an abbreviation of the title of the
book which contains a reproduction of that work. In the front of the
index is a list which gives a full bibliographic citation for each
abbreviation. If this library owns the book, the call number has been
noted.
