Articles in 19th and Early 20th Century Periodicals
The indexes most frequently used for finding articles on art topics (Art Abstracts/Art Index Retrospective, BHA, Artbibliographies Modern ) do not cover journals published in the 19th or early 20th centuries.
Below are some indexes and bibliographies which do cover that period. Some cover art exclusively; others include art in the range of subjects they cover.
